Although we are in a time of abundance and harvest we are simultaneously in a time of transition as well.
Transition: the process or a period of changing from one state or condition to another.
Metamorphosis -a change of the form or nature of a thing or person into a completely different one, by natural or supernatural means.
For many, the change began to take place this month. It certainly did for me and many others I know. July 1st shook me as the change process began taking place in my life. I knew instantly that day that a former season had ended and a new one had just begun.
Although hindsight has helped me understand more these last 2 weeks, the suddenness of what I experienced on July 1, left me stunned for several days.
At first, a transition or metamorphosis can shake you up a bit because of the discomfort you start experiencing; much of this has to do with the change and reformation taking place within and around you. I've learned that transition will inevitably involve the people connected to you as well. Unfortunately this means not everyone will be going with you to your new place. This can be one of the hardest parts to explain or understand.
This requires us having an unshakable faith in the God, whose ways we do not understand sometimes- especially when the big picture has yet to unfold.
If this is you, rest assure that God has you in the palm of his hand and is working all things together for your good and his purpose. Romans 8:28.
A scripture that continues to be highlighted to me -is Proverbs 19:21.
“You can make many plans, but the Lord’s purpose will prevail.” Proverbs 19:21 NLT
This is becoming a reality for many right now in the earth.
We all make plans, and plans are good and necessary, but when God has a purpose in the earth and in your life, your plans must submit and give way to his purpose.
THIS NEW THING
“For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.” Isaiah 43:19 NLT
God will provide everything you need as you transition.
We all understand the metamorphosis process of a butterfly. I encourage you to take a look at where you are right now in this reformation process and begin asking God questions. Maybe take time each day to journal with the Lord about your process, so you can gain greater clarity, understanding and peace.
STRETCHING DURING YOUR METAMORPHOSIS
I went into a cocoon of sorts on July 1 and just let me say that the stretching is real. This stretching left me feeling the need to unplug from social media (deleted Facebook) and anything else that would hinder my focus as I cooperated with God's metamorphosis process in me. You may or may not need to do something similar but this has certainly been a necessary step in my prophetic journey. The most important thing is to make sure you are cooperating with God however he may be leading you, in your transition and metamorphosis time.
RESET AND REORDERED
“The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives.”
Psalms 37:23 NLT
“The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.”
Psalms 37:23 KJV
I know I am being reset, re-calibrated, and reformed for where God is taking me and you most likely are too. My life is undergoing a great re-ordering right now, which in turn has required great change in my life.
The types of processes that bring instant changes are hard to navigate and understand, so let me encourage you to slow down to the speed of now, and allow God to give you a fresh new perspective, pace and rhythm for the road ahead.
Maybe you are in a similar place and a similar stretching is taking place within you. If so beloved, take heart as you trust the Lord, leaning not on your own understanding.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.” Proverbs 3:5-6 NLT
God will illuminate your path and guide your next steps as you fix your heart and eyes on him. He authored your faith and he will finish it.
As God recreates and reforms us, we may look very different as we emerge from the cocoon, but that’s okay. God knows what he is doing as the chief architect of our lives and we can trust him. The new you will be a beautiful re-creation, and masterpiece, fashioned by the Creator himself.
“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” Ephesians 2:10 NLT
Love always,
Dana
